What can I say, I just don’t tend to feel like cooking anything elaborate on Friday nights. I think it’s allowed, even if I didn’t work a full week this week
While I was contemplating what I might like for dinner, I nibbled on a slice of Farmer’s Market Onion & Rye bread with some butter.
Sienna spent some time chillin’ outside. She always looks forward to this when I get home from work.
Now, I know I had leftovers in my fridge – chili, more curry. But I wasn’t feeling either of them for dinner, and wanted something just as easy heat up and eat. After perusing the freezer, I decided to get in touch with my Russian roots and boil up some perogies.
I’ll fully admit, those green onions on top were solely for blogging purposes. I figured the bowl of white perogies and white sour cream would make for a pretty dull photo. I do like how the light was coming though the gate though
The perfect perogie bite.
I also had a glass of San Pellegrino with a wedge of both lemon & lime. Fancy!
I then ended up on the phone with my mom – turns out we have solved alot of the storage issues that were going to arise with me moving back home, because well, I got alot of stuff. But my cousin & his wife just bought & moved into a new house, and they are going to take some of my bigger furniture items to use, so they don’t need to buy a ton of new furniture right away. Perfect!
Eventually I dragged myself to the gym for some fun incline walking on the treadmill. I have horrible balance on that thing, and I think I’ve determined the cause – all the injuries to the joints in my right leg. I noticed how much harder lunges are on that leg, and I know it’s not because I have no muscle strength, it’s just because those muscles are working more to compensate for a weak ankle and weak knee. Thank you skating injuries!
I came home, had a shower, did some dishes, played with the cat – the usual Friday night fun. Then it was snack time.
Sliced granny smith apple, blob of Peanut Butter & Co. Cinnamon Raisin Swirl, and a couple of slices of cheddar. Totally hit the spot. And I discovered that cheddar tastes good with peanut butter. Is that weird? Because the salty cheese with the sweet peanut butter rocked! Maybe I could turn that into a pizza? HA!
Now my friends, I must go, as it is late, and I have things to do before the big pizza party tomorrow. Night!

Aww, hello Sienna!
For a “lazy” chef, all that certainly looks good
I had a cat, named Willy, when I was little. He looks very much like Sienna, only 20 pounds heavier!! haha.
Perogies are so good. I haven’t had them since I was young but I should try them out again, I used to get so excited when it was “perogie” night! They were easy for my mom to make, and they kept me happy
Everything goes with PB apparently!! Yum to the perogies – so carby and delicious!
Sounds like you enjoyed a very relaxing evening!
PB & cheddar would certainly be an interesting combo…
