The 18th Annual Wellness Show is coming to the Vancouver Convention Centre at Canada Place on April 30, May 1 & 2, 2010, and I have been given the opportunity to giveaway an amazing prize package to one lucky reader!

Due to the nature of this giveaway, there are some stipulations as to who is eligible to win:
- You must reside in Metro Vancouver, or be coming to Metro Vancouver before the show ends on May 2nd. You can also enter on behalf of someone in the area.
- You must be able to make arrangements to meet up with me to receive your prize package – due to the size, I will not be shipping it.
- My family members are not eligible.
I realize many of my readers aren’t from the area, but hopefully those that are will come out of the woodwork and comment to win. And if you don’t live here, but know someone who does, please let them know about the contest.

I am planning on buying tickets to go to this if I don’t win! My ultimate wellness trip would be somewhere where I can relax, eat good vegetarian food, do yoga, swim and run!
Okay I must have been out of it, I read trip not tip…hahaha….my wellness *tip* is: everything in moderation – fill up whole grains, fruits and vegetables but don’t be afraid to splurge.

My wellness tip would be to get enough sleep! I find that no matter how well I eat or how much I workout, if I don’t get enough sleep (7-8 hours a night for me) my energy is shot and my mood is so grumpy. I also find that when I get enough sleep, all other aspects of being healthy seem easier and seem to come more naturally.
I wanted to enter and had plans to give the tickets away. But I’m not allowed to enter. I’ll forgive your lovely donors though! lol

My best wellness tip is: just get ‘er done. It’s so easy to procrastinate, but if you do even just a little work it feels so much better and you’ll have accomplished that much more with your day!
Best Wellness Tip: Eliminate the bad (food, habits, sleep patterns, etc.) and replace with good nutrition, good habits, and adequate rest.
I will actually be attending the show as a vendor so I would donate the tickets, but I’d love to win all the goodies!
My wellness tip is to LAUGH! It is actually proven that laughing makes you happier!
I try to smile to people all the time and remain confident with myself too. It just makes your life that much better.

I find that it gets my day started off right and helps me avoid over-eating in the evenings.
My wellness Tip ~ buddy up. Find someone to work out with, that way you are accountable to not only yourself but to one another!

My wellness tip is that change does not happen overnight – every lifestyle change is something that is slow and one step at a time. If you mess up, that’s okay. Start again immediately – there are no diets or “I start tomorrows”. Starting now is best and it’s okay if it’s a slow change – that’s what I’m learning (slowly!) now.

Wow great prize! My ultimate wellness tip is to smile and be happy. First and foremost is a positive attitude. If you are positive, things don’t seem as daunting and that keeps you motivated. I learned a very helpful tip from a famous singer years ago who said, “Will it matter in five year?” If not, don’t stress over it now. Stress is baaaaddddd!

My wellness tip: keep positive and find ways to remind yourself just how beautiful you are on a regular basis, that will help you to make the “good” decisions a lot easier! Also, walk and get regular exercise, eat a variety of colors (from the produce world) and make sure it’s whole grains (stay away from the white stuff) O…. and laugh lots!

my wellness tip is to remember your teeth! A yearly checkup is money well spent in the long run because ignored teeth usually end up costing a small car/4 years at UBC amount of money.

My best health tip is to load up on vitamin C through oranges and guavas especially during the flu season. Also , make sure you are getting enough vitamin D through sunshine or vitamins. Vitamin D is vital to your health.
Don’t skip breakfast. Have a breakfast that includes fresh fruit, a high-fibre breakfast cereal, low-fat milk or yogurt, wholewheat toast, and a boiled egg.
*Walk to Reduce Stress Levels*
Studies have shown that three 10-minute walks taken at different times of the day are better at relieving stress than one 30-minute walk.
Drink water to help flush out toxins in your body. Set up dates and times in your calendar for exercise. Laugh out loud more and think positively.
Make physical activity part of your daily routine by scheduling workouts.
Have fun while exercising! Ask your friends to join and make it something that you can all do regularly.
