As you may remember, I was recently given the opportunity to try out Genuine Health’s new skin care product dermalipid. A chance I jumped at, as I’ve been trying to get my skin in tip-top shape lately.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
From the company’s promotional material:
“dermalipid: An all-natural supplement for moisturized, healthier skin.
Containing only 100% natural and research-proven ingredients including borage oil (GLA) and plant-based ceramides, dermalipid helps replenish lost moisture, slow the effects of aging and environmental damage.
And unlike most topical creams, not only does dermalipid work below the skin’s surface (specifically targets the epidermal wall), it doesn’t contain any harsh chemicals or fillers. Instead, it feeds the body essential nutrients for the best results, naturally.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have been taking my dermalipid capsules daily (or as often as I remember), and at first, I was skeptical that it was really doing anything for my skin. But I’ve noticed that the large dry patch of skin I had on my shoulder has all but disappeared. My hands aren’t as dry anymore either, which is great, because working in the grocery store was really taking a toll! Since I haven’t made any other changes to my skin care regime, I only conclude that the dermalipid has been having a positive effect.
Now Genuine Health has generously offered up a one month supply (120 capsules) of dermalipid to one lucky reader! You can earn up to 3 entries by:
- Leave a comment with your best skin care tip.
- Twitter about the contest, making sure to include @fache79 in the tweet so I know you’ve done it.
- Posting a link on your own blog to the contest (and making sure you tell me about it).
The contest will close Sunday, May 2, and 23:59 PST, with a winner chosen by random draw on Monday, May 3rd. Only residents of Canada and the US are eligible to enter. Good luck!

My favorite idea is to use aloe on dry patches on your face
my best tip: when u wake up use 1 icecube and massage over ur skin. the cold stimulates the cells and can promote eleasticity. too much heat can reduce this. it has been passed on for generations and i have seen results.
smooth skin with flax oil before bed too for an added softness and reduced wrinkle appearance ❤
don’t ever forget sunblock~ 🙂
My best natural skin tip is to eat lots of healthy foods that contain many vitamins and fiber!
Using scrubs to remove the top layer of dead skin cells about once a week will also help in creating a shiny skin.
my wacky skin care tip is to smooth regular old olive oil after washing….not too much….
leaves skin nice and soft!!!!
Coconut oil makes the best moisturizer for both the body and hair!
I put lotion on my face and hands every night before bed – definitely a good habit!
I wash my face in raw honey and moisturize with coconut oil.
Best skincare tips: nourish from the inside out with lots of fresh fruit and veggies, stay away from soda and fast food. 8 hours of sleep every night (preferably at the same time). Yoga!
sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen! and sunglasses to prevent squinting wrinkles!
(I blogged again too…) 🙂
Organic virgin coconut oil. All over the body and even under the eyes before bed. A real miracle worker!
I drink a lot of water and eat healthy fats to keep my skin lookin’ good!
Basic skin care is the best skin care! I wash my face every night, use sunscreen, and apply a good moisturizer. I think my skin appreciate it…
Thanks for the opportunity! My best tip is to use a moisurizer with SPF in it and also switch to a foundation with SPF. Your face will always be protected and it will decrease the amout of wrinkles and spots later in life!
Best skin care tip: Drink half your weight in ounces of water each day.

I’ve been reading your blog for awhile now, and I don’t think I’ve ever commented. Hi! 🙂
My best skin care tip: moisturize! I put on unscented, extra-moisturizing lotion every morning right out of the shower.
Keep it simple I guess would be my best skin care tip. I wash with gentle soap, and I mosturize every day after my shower.
And sunscreen!
wear spf EVERY DAY!
